BREAKING Long-Awaited News on Competitive Bidding |
Beginning January 1, 2019, and until new contracts are awarded under the DMEPOS competitive bidding program, beneficiaries may receive DMEPOS items from any Medicare enrolled DMEPOS supplier, CMS announced in a proposed rule Wednesday. Current contracts will expire as of December 31, 2018. The proposed rule includes a new take on lead item pricing, which the CMS says will address problematic price inversions and relieve other burdens on providers and suppliers. Read more at HomeCare. |
