OIG Uncovers Hospice Fraud Schemes |
A recent federal report analyzed Medicare payment data for hospice services going back to 2005. The report calls for the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) to increase the level of scrutiny into home hospice programs in order to better detect problems such as overbilling for care or billing for care the patient never received.
