HME Champions Step Up Efforts

Reps. Cathy McMorris Rogers and Dave Loebsack sent a Dear Colleague letter to House peers urging co-sponsorship of HR 2771. The bill would provide reimbursement relief for oxygen and medical equipment suppliers, particularly in rural areas.

11th Circuit Weighs in On False Claims Act

The 11th Circuit Court ruled that a difference in medical opinion between a hospice medical director and a physician did not constitute a false claim. The case, coming out of Alabama, was originally brought in 2008. The ruling only affects states under the 11th Circuit for now, but should provide a precedent for future court cases.
