HHS Hit with Class Action Suit
The Department of Health and Human Services has been sued by a now-closed home health agency. Simply Home Healthcare received notices of overpayment through an audit, which the agency said were incorrect. The $4.8 million in overpayment drove the agency out of business.

Homecare companies should prepare their staff to encounter guns and other safety risks, Mary Ellen Conway, chief compliance officer for US MED, told Homecare in response to a new study that found more than a third of seniors surveyed have a firearm in their home.
