Eagan will take over as head of prosthetic group

WATERLOO, Iowa (February 8, 2017)—VGM Group, Inc. has promoted Dennis Clark to serve as its new Chief Leadership Officer.

In his new role, Clark will lead the advancement of values, mission and brand for the employee-owned company. He will also serve as post-acute health care visionary and ambassador across VGM’s health care membership communities.

“I’m proud to have Dennis serving in this important new leadership role,” said Mike Mallaro, chief executive officer of VGM Group, Inc. “Dennis has a unique and powerful insight into VGM’s history, culture and values as well as our members and vendor partners and our leadership role. He is particularly brilliant at connecting people and ideas as well as building teams.”

Clark, a nationally known prosthetist, has served the past 20 years as president of VGM’s Orthotic Prosthetic Group of America (OPGA). Although, he assumes a new role, Clark will remain a presence in the O&P industry, said Mallaro. “Dennis is an important figure in the O&P community, and that will not change. While transitioning out of OPGA, Dennis will nonetheless remain a connected and visible part of the O&P community.”

The addition of Clark to VGM's executive team is effective immediately and OPGA's Vice President, Todd Eagan, has been tabbed as the new president.

“I’m proud to be joining VGM’s executive team and look forward to working across all 27 businesses operating under the VGM Group umbrella,” said Clark. “My professional life has been dedicated to serving patients and independent O&P practices. Although, my focus will broaden, I have the utmost confidence in our industry and know that Todd will continue to do remarkable things leading OPGA and our profession forward.”

Eagen has been with OPGA for six years and looks forward to advancing the membership organization for independent O&P providers.

“I am honored and excited to serve as president of OPGA,” stated Eagen. “Over the last several years, OPGA has grown and broadened the value that we bring to our community of members and suppliers, and I look forward to continuing down that path. I have worked side by side with Dennis the last six years and have witnessed and learned first-hand his passion and commitment to advancing the independent O&P profession. Even though he is transitioning to an executive position here at VGM, he will remain very visible and vocal in our continued efforts.”
