LAS VEGAS (January 17, 2018)—Positive momentum from Medtrade has carried over to the new year, with Medtrade Spring officials reporting better than average booth sales. “Medtrade Spring has been selling incredibly well since we got back from Medtrade 2017 in Atlanta, and I did not expect for this floor plan to be filled so early,” says York Schwab, account executive for the Spring show, scheduled for March 27–29, 2018, at the Mandalay Bay Convention Center. “Fortunately, we can expand the floor and add more space.”

Anticipation is high among exhibitors looking forward to a chance to meet with motivated providers in 2018. In addition to stalwart exhibitors such as Pride Mobility, VGM, Philips, Golden Technologies, Brightree, and Mediware Information Systems, there are a lot of new companies.

“And there are companies that will not be back, because we specifically said ‘no,’” muses Schwab. “For example, we are not selling booth space to face cream companies that were roundly criticized in post-show surveys. We rejected them all, and in 2018 there will be zero.”

Schwab encourages hesitant exhibitors to make a commitment while there are still good spots available in the budgeted area, as well as in possible expansion zones. “If you’re on the fence,” he says, “jump on board, because the good spots are not going to last much longer.”

“For companies that want to get a head start on their marketing efforts, it makes sense to quickly get on board and secure booth space at Medtrade Spring,” adds Christina Brown Morrison, social medical director, Medtrade.

Finally, Kevin Gaffney, group show director, points out that signing up early also provides exhibitors with discounted rates on the services they need for a successful show.
