Via AAHomecare, WASHINGTON, D.C. (January 3, 2018)—As first reported in early December, AAHomecare’s State Leaders Council is working with state and regional HME associations, AAHomecare membership, and other stakeholder groups to identify a primary and secondary assigned contact from the HME industry for every member of the U.S. Senate and House of Representatives.
While AAHomecare members and other politically active individuals in the community have built strong relationships with legislators and delivered high-impact grassroots support for public policy objectives in many states, it is imperative to reach as close to 100 percent of Congress as possible.
Currently, AAHomecare has identified contacts for 57 percent of Congress and 27 states are completely covered. However, there are 19 states with less than 50 percent of their legislators covered, including eight with no contacts identified.
