LAS VEGAS (March 8, 2018)—MobileHelp Healthcare, a provider of personal and enterprise health care technology solutions, recently collaborated with Samsung Electronics America to introduce MobileHelp Smart and expand its emergency response portfolio through integration of customized Samsung Gear S3 smartwatches.

With this solution, MobileHelp aims to provide a comprehensive health management tool to patients with chronic illnesses, allowing them to not only get help if and when they need it, but also track and monitor changes to key vital sign indicators, such as resting heart rate, sleep, steps and other activities.

According to a Pew Foundation survey, 45 percent of U.S. adults are dealing with at least one chronic condition, and while only 19 percent of people with no chronic conditions track their health indicators, 40 percent of adults with one chronic condition do so, and 62 percent of adults with two chronic conditions do so.

"Research tells us that patients with chronic conditions are some of the most committed users of activity and fitness trackers," said Rob Flippo, CEO of MobileHelp. "This solution provides them with an additional level of security though access to emergency response, which allows a patient with chronic heart failure (CHF) to go out for their daily walk and not only track their activity level improvements, but also enjoy the peace of mind that help is just a button press away."

When a user presses the "Help" button on the MobileHelp Smart interface, trained operators receive the call for assistance and know who the user is, where they are located and can contact them through the watch to determine the scope of the emergency and provide the right level of response.

MobileHelp Smart on Gear S3 will be available in Q1 2018.
