OWINGS MILLS, Md. (July 24, 2018)—Providers have the opportunity to become a certified durable medical equipment specialist (CDME). The Board of Certification/Accreditation (BOC) is conducting a program, August 29–30, 2018, at its headquarters in Owings Mills, Maryland, which will allow providers to obtain the CDME certification.

On Wednesday, August 29, 10 a.m.–5 p.m., "An Introduction to the Certified Durable Medical Equipment Specialist" workshop will be presented by Jeff Hedges, CDME, president and CEO, R.J. Hedges & Associates. There is no charge for the workshop.

On Thursday, August 30, 10:00 am–12:00 pm, the CDME exam will be offered. The eligibility requirements for the exam are a high school diploma and 500 hours of experience in the DME industry.
