LYNN, Mass. (April 29, 2019)—Mavencare, a homecare technology company, announced its partnership with Greater Lynn Senior Services (GLSS), a non-profit human services agency based in Lynn, Massachusetts, providing a wide range of services to people age 60 and older and adults of all ages living with disabilities. Mavencare’s new Lynn office will help to accommodate employees from the community and will advance this important new GLSS-Mavencare partnership.

Mavencare aims to provide aging services access points (ASAPs) with a technology-enhanced care platform, higher customer satisfaction, lower health care costs, and ultimately, better outcomes for patients. Through this collaboration, GLSS’ 4,000-plus consumers can take advantage of Mavencare’s personalized homecare services. Mavencare’s proprietary technology collects real-time in-home data and uses predictive analytics to identify potential client risk and reduce hospitalizations. It also vets all caregiver applicants, matches patients with the best caregiver for their needs, utilizes an intelligent notification system and houses all communication between caregivers, clients, health care partners and the Mavencare team.

GLSS was created in 1975 as a federally designated regional Area Agency on Aging (AAA), and is one of the 26 member agencies within the Massachusetts’ ASAP system, a statewide network for publicly provided homecare services. The organization provides seniors in the greater Lynn area with information, transportation, meals, advocacy, homecare, housing and more. Mavencare’s technologically advanced process provides GLSS with a more efficient and data-driven platform tailored to fit the value-based care model. GLSS serves seniors in Lynn, Lynnfield, Nahant, Saugus and Swampscott.

“This partnership shows commitment from both organizations to leverage innovative technology to deliver the highest quality of care to the Lynn area residents,” said Dr. Adam Blackman, CEO and co-founder of Mavencare. “The pride within this community is unparalleled, as is GLSS’s commitment to forward-thinking approaches to health care. We believe this partnership will open many doors for continued innovation in the delivery of in-home care services to seniors.”

This office expansion will further strengthen Mavencare’s prospects as it looks to hire 200–300 additional caregivers throughout the Boston area. The company offers caregivers training to continue growing in their profession, while also giving them the opportunity to be involved in an innovative care model designed to support their work. Mavencare first launched its availability in the Boston area in December 2018.

“We’re excited to expand our provider network to include Mavencare, whose use of technology has the potential to provide an advanced level of care to our community, specifically our aging population,” said Paul T. Crowley, CEO of GLSS. “Their approach is a really good fit with our own unique mission of realizing healthier communities.”

GLSS recently spun off a for-benefit management services organization, Silver Otter Strategies, a wholly-owned subsidiary of GLSS, to develop new approaches to inspire and engage consumers to lead healthier lives. “We are hoping to collaborate with Mavencare in the future to develop even more accurate and comprehensive data analytics to better serve this growing population,” Crowley added.

Mavencare provides services in Toronto, New York City and the Greater Boston area.
