EXETER, PA (January 13, 2016)—Pride Mobility Products Corporation is pleased to announce the promotion of Seth Johnson to Senior Vice President of Government Affairs.

Seth, an 18-year veteran of the mobility industry, began his career at Pride in 2004 as Director of Government Affairs. Building upon his prior experience on Capitol Hill, Seth was immediately instrumental in advocating for the preservation of mobility-related policy to protect access for those with disabilities. Among his many legislative efforts, Seth notably was a relentless advocate against the expansion of competitive bidding, working to protect patient access to life-sustaining mobility technologies and services. To that end, he was appointed to serve on the CMS DME Program Advisory and Oversight Committee in late 2004 where he served for over four years providing a strong voice for the industry on the problems with competitive bidding and offering guidance to address.

Most recently, as Vice President of Government Affairs for Pride, Seth served in a leadership role with industry coalitions in fighting to prevent 2016 cuts to complex rehab technology (CRT). Seth worked with key legislators and stakeholders to protect CRT accessory payments via the Patient Access and Medicare Protection Act (S.2425), which was signed into law by the President on December 28. He is a member of the NCART, AAHomecare and Pennsylvania Association of Medical Suppliers (PAMS) Board of Directors and is active in many consumer organizations.

Regarding Seth’s promotion, Pride Mobility Product’s Chairman and CEO, Scott Meuser, commented, “In his elevated role, we are looking forward to Seth continuing his excellent work in advocating for those with disabilities and making strides to create an equitable regulatory environment for all.”
