CORAL SPRINGS, Fla. (May 2, 2016)—Comfort Medical, LLC announced its acquisition of Wheel:Life, a popular digital media publication and social community for wheelchair users.

With more than 26,000 followers on social media, Wheel:Life served more than 100,000 website visitors with lifestyle resources in 2015. In addition to their active social community, Wheel:Life offers members a monthly digital publication and free advice books on fundraising, relationship advice and accessible travel destinations across the U.S., as well as special events with the Abilities Expo and SPORTS ‘N SPOKES magazine.

“We are excited to bring the resources and support of Wheel:Life to our customers, as well as provide the opportunity to Wheel:Life to continue expanding the community it serves,” says Ryan Flannery, president of Comfort Medical.

Wheel:Life’s founder and director Lisa Wells explains, "I created Wheel:Life nearly four years ago with the goal of improving social connections and lifestyle resources for people who use wheelchairs worldwide. We are thrilled to welcome our members to the Comfort Medical family, as the organization shares our values and commitment in providing ongoing support and educational resources to as many wheelchair users as possible.”

As part of the acquisition, Lisa Wells will continue to oversee Wheel:Life’s day-to-day operations, partner relationships and ongoing events. Wheel:Life will continue as a digital media publication and social media platform, operating as a wholly-owned subsidiary of Comfort Medical, LLC.
