ST. PAUL, Minn. (May 26, 2016)Pediatric Home Service (PHS) former managing director of Home Care Nursing, Sandi Maguire, BS-SOWK, RRT-NPS, LRT, has been honored as Minnesota’s Home Care Professional of the year.

This prestigious award recognizes an individual who brings commitment, enthusiasm and compassion to their work.

“Sandi has played an integral role in making home care what it is today in the state of Minnesota,” said Mark Hamman, President of PHS. “Her involvement from the very early days of home care, when it was rarely even considered an option, helped to make PHS the innovative company it was and continues to be today.”

Sandi joined PHS two weeks before the company officially opened its doors in 1990. She has held a number of positions throughout her duration with the company, including respiratory therapist, respiratory therapy manager, and coordinator/supervisor. In 2011, her leadership was instrumental in implementing the home care nursing department, where she ended her career. After 26 years of working at PHS, Sandi officially retired on Friday, May 13, 2016.
