NEW YORK (September 7, 2016)—Alliance Homecare, a concierge home health care provider serving individuals and families in New York City, Long Island, Westchester and the Lower Hudson Valley, announced the addition of Mary Azadian, RN, as director of nursing and Carol Kushner, LMSW, CMC, as director of care management.

Mary Azadian joined Alliance Homecare with more than 25 years of experience in the health care field. A long-time registered nurse, Azadian was previously at UCLA’s Medical Center Cardiac Catherization Lab and the Acute Cardiac Care Unit. She spent five years with renowned Dr. Gino Sedillo, intervention cardiologist, at HCA Blake Medical Center and has also worked at Sarasota’s Memorial Hospital. In addition to her strong clinical background in surgical, cardiac and cardiothoracic nursing, Azadian brings the expertise of owning her own homecare agency in Florida. As director of clinical services at Nursing Solutions, she successfully assisted the elderly population by providing consistent and superior care, and helped others face the challenges associated with aging. Azadian received an associate degree in science and nursing from St. Petersburg College. She resides in Manhattan.

Carol Kushner has more than a decade of professional experience delivering comprehensive care management services, including family consultations, long-term care coordination, crisis intervention and client advocacy. Prior to joining Alliance Homecare, Kushner worked at Visiting Nurse Services as a pediatric palliative care social worker and later as a hospice social worker representing VNS at Mt. Sinai Hospital and The Jewish Home. While in this role, she provided extensive support and guidance to caregivers, educated and connected client’s families to all available community resources, served as a client advocate and assisted with end-of-life care planning. A licensed clinical social worker and specialist in dementia and palliative care, Kushner received a master of social work degree from Hunter School of Social Work. She is an active member of the Aging Life Care Association and has obtained her Care Management Certification. Kushner resides in Brooklyn, New York.
