DAVISON, Mich. (June 16, 2016)—Universal Software Solutions, Inc. (USSI), a provider of practice management solutions for the home health care markets, announced that it has enhanced its partnership with Vantiv Integrated Payments. In a relationship with Vantiv, which began last summer, Universal has now made available a comprehensive fully-integrated EMV (Europay, MasterCard, and Visa) U.S.-based processing solution with Vantiv’s processing platform for its Healthcare Management Data System (HDMS).

Through this integration with Vantiv, Universal’s customers will benefit from industry-leading chip card payment solutions and services, as well as advanced security products and reporting tools. Universal customers processing with Vantiv will have additional benefits including faster funding, better merchant reporting and deeper connections to the card brands.

The release of Universal’s solution includes PCI (Payment Card Industry) 3.0 Compliance, which helps merchants achieve and maintain compliance, reducing the risk of a data breach by removing cardholder data from the POS system. Additionally, P2PE (Point-to-Point Encryption) has been added to help protect cardholder data from the initial swipe (or card reading) to the payment processor. Universal implemented these protections by utilizing and integrating with Vantiv TriPOS which supports a selection of certified devices.

“Partnering with Universal Software Solutions (USSI) broadens our reach into the health care marketplace by providing leading-edge processing, security and data services to their customers. We’re thrilled to work with USS to help make the health care payments ecosystem more secure and keep cardholder data safe,” said Matt Downs, head of business and channel development integrated payments at Vantiv.

The enhancement within HDMS will be released in the third quarter of 2016.
