The rebrand reflects the focus on the aging in place industry

WATERLOO, Iowa (October 24, 2017) VGM Group has rebranded AHIA, its division that works with companies that remodel homes for aging in place and mobility impaired, to VGM Live at Home.

The announcement was made during Medtrade Convention and Expo in Atlanta, Georgia. VGM officials credit the evolution of the home safety market as a key factor in its decision to rebrand.

“We had a good run with the AHIA brand but as the industry has evolved, we see that the home safety market is more than accessibility products,” said Jim Greatorex, vice president of VGM Live at Home. “The re-brand lets us broaden our reach so we can help members diversify into all business components that help people live at home safely and independently regardless of their mobility level.”

Along with the new name and look, VGM Live at Home is putting an emphasis on technology by updating its online presence and enhancing the Live at Home Pro mobile home assessment app.

“We are putting some focus into technology with an automated home package,” said Greatorex, “taking a version of our Live at Home app and making a simple home safety/fall prevention piece that would provide a basic home assessment with some in-home retail products as solutions. These components and others will be instrumental in helping our members make a difference in the customers they serve.”

The VGM Live at Home rebrand will not be complete until its dynamic website is complete in early 2018. Visit vgmliveathome.com/ for more information.
